My dream of working on my Doctorate has finally become reality!
Reading, synthesizing, looking for themes, and researching are all aspects that I consider part of my teaching and learning whether I'm enrolled in a course or not, and I am approaching this work with indescribable excitement.
I am thrilled to be a student in the Graduate School of Education at the University of New England in Maine studying Transformative Educational Leadership. A great conductor must be a great leader, and so much of what I'm learning directly impacts my work from the podium. This program allows me to become a better leader while remaining with my students every day and continuing to support my family - it's a perfect fit!
Although I'm not yet to the Dissertation stage, my interests so far have led me to investigate social emotional skills gained in music, and equity through agency through student composition in an ensemble setting.
